Get Tanked Aquariums, is a business that was started by me, Garry Elliott.

I'm a hobbyist with more than 20 plus years (I stopped counting at the 20 year mark) experience in the saltwater hobby.

Before I started Get Tanked Aquariums, I owned my own home improvement company for about 18 years. I was doing electrical, plumbing and carpentry which all goes hand in hand with the saltwater aquarium trade.

I bring to the saltwater coral reef aquarium hobby the knowledge and experience that comes from many years of trying new products and product ingredients, new equipment, ideas and learning what works and what doesn't in the saltwater coral reef hobby.

Originally Get Tanked Aquariums, started out as a saltwater coral reef aquarium maintenance service company back in the very early 90's. After growing disappointment in the selection of corals, marine fish, invertebrates and live rock available in the area, I decided to open up my own saltwater coral reef aquarium store in order to bring saltwater hobbyist the quality livestock that I demanded in my own home saltwater coral reef aquarium.

Since the fall of 2000, I have opened my own saltwater aquarium store and progressed to 3,000 gallons of saltwater aquaculture tanks, and started to propagate corals, and started to use my own products (i.e. 2 Part Sea Salt, Additives, Supplements and Trace Elements) to maintain my saltwater aquaculture tanks. I call my product line Saltwater Correct.

I've been propagating many different species of corals and learned valuable information and techniques on coral propagation.

I'm now turning my attention to breeding saltwater fish and tank raising them. My goal is to breed as many different species of saltwater fish as my 3,000 gallons of saltwater aquaculture tanks will allow. After acquiring the techniques on breeding saltwater fish, my next step is to build a green house to combine aquaculture coral propagation and fish breeding under one roof of about 1,800 square feet.

Here is how everything in the green house is going to work:

The green house will provide natural lighting with some supplemental lighting for the corals, fish, invertebrates and plants.

The 3 different species of mangrove plants will provide the water filtration (i.e. natural protein skimming and act like a natural carbon reactor to keep the water crystal clear).

I presently have about 400 mangrove plants, red mangroves, white mangroves and black mangroves, that are 14 months old.

The mangrove root system will be a natural grow-out nursery for the baby fish, shrimps and snails.

I believe in setting up the most natural aquaculture ecosystem, so as not compete with Mother Nature, but to work with Mother Nature!

I'm trying to contribute my part so we do not have to capture live saltwater animals out from their natural habitat.

Aquaculture fish, corals and invertebrates are more suited for the aquarium environment then their wild counter parts.

Some aquaculture facilities ask for donation, I do not, I will not turn any down, but instead I'm offering my Saltwater Correct product line to you to generate revenue to further my aquaculture program.

My Saltwater Correct product line is the same product that I use in my own 3,000 gallons aquaculture systems and I've been using them for over six years now on my aquaculture systems with great success.

Check out my Saltwater Correct product descriptions and compare them to what you are using now.

Look through my web site and see all the pictures that I posted of past and present tanks and you be the judge.

Pictures tell all !

If you have any questions about my Saltwater Correct product line or about my aquaculture program, please call my toll free phone number 717-243-9545.

Saltwater Correct product line was developed for my own use back in "2000" for our aquaculture program.

Saltwater Correct product line meets or exceeds the purity or quality of the competing brands designated for the saltwater aquarium use.
Why pay more for your saltwater products that do not meet or exceed what Saltwater Correct is offering you a high end product at a low end price.

Saltwater Correct product line proceeds goes towards our aquaculture program.

Serving the saltwater coral reef hobbyists with quality, integrity, low prices, expert advice and the latest saltwater coral reef aquarium information.  Saltwater Correct by Get Tanked Aquariums has done the research, you get to use the benefits of my knowledge that I acquired over the past 20 plus years that I have been in the saltwater hobby.

Please think of this, whether you have a saltwater fish tank or a saltwater reef tank or a saltwater fish and reef tank.

Think of your tank as only a saltwater tank and keep it balanced to natural sea water and you will see a big positive difference in your saltwater aquarium.

All saltwater corals, invertebrates and fish come from the same quality of water.

I urge all saltwater hobbyist to monitor on a regular basis the following:

pH, Alkalinity, Calcium, Magnesium, Borate, Strontium and Iodide.

Also use R/O DI filtered water, use a TDS meter to monitor your R/O DI water quality,

age your newly mixed saltwater for 24 to 48 hours, do a 5% to 10% weekly water change and monitor the above mentioned elements on a regular basis.

If you do the above mention, I guarantee you that you will see a big positive difference in

your saltwater aquarium.

The fundamentals of maintaining saltwater aquariums and maintaining all colors of coralline algae.

We ask that you do not think of your saltwater aquarium as a fish only saltwater tank, reef only saltwater tank or as a saltwater reef tank with fish. Think of your aquarium as a saltwater aquarium, period. In nature the marine animals all come from a well balanced system. This is how we maintain our saltwater aquarium water chemistry values with great success. Magnesium Values: 1250 - 1350 mg/L, Calcium Values: 380 - 450 ppm, Alkalinity Values: 3 - 5 meg/L or 8 - 11 dKH, pH Values: 8.1 - 8.4, Boron Values: 4.5 mg/L, Salinity Values:  1.026 SG or 35 PPT, Iodide Values: 0.03 – 0.06 ppm, Strontium Values: 10 and 15 mg/L. By keeping the above values stable and constant, using R/O DI filtered water, along with proper water changes, using a good protein skimmer, using carbon and or GFO media in a reactor, using  25 micron filtering bags and proper lighting for your corals. You will have a well balanced saltwater tank and you'll be able to grow and maintain good coralline growth and house any animal from the world’s reef systems and have them flourish. Try this method for 2 months and you will see a difference!  Pass It On!

Saltwater Correct product line proceeds helps us further our aquaculture program.
