Saltwater Correct Calcium Chloride meets or exceeds the purity of competing brands designated for saltwater aquarium use. Calcium is the first most essential trace element. Calcium Chloride supplement/additive is the #1 trace element in your saltwater coral reef aquarium. Calcium Chloride is stronger then Calcium Hydroxide A.K.A. Kalkwasser. Saltwater Correct product provides bio available calcium for lush growth of purple, pink, red and green calcareous algae's, snails, hard tube worms, invertebrates and clams. Corals will open more and stay attached to their skeletons better, with regular use. Phosphate & nitrate free! Contains no glauconitic, EDTA, or other organics to raise DOC levels, as many competing products do. Saltwater Correct Aquarium Calcium Chloride product alone can provide all the calcium your saltwater coral reef will need. Strontium, Iodide, Alkalinity and Magnesium supplements is also necessary.

If and when you experience a hard time at maintaining your calcium and alkalinity levels, test your magnesium level to see if it's between 1250 ppm and 1350 ppm, which are natural seawater levels. A low magnesium level at or less then 800 ppm will cause your calcium and alkalinity levels to become unstable and stress your entire livestock in your aquarium.

Saltwater Correct Concentrated Calcium is a supplement designed to be used as part of a 2 part Calcium & Alkalinity supplement system or to use alone to raise your calcium values. Monitoring and maintaining your calcium values is part of helping to stabilize your water chemistry values, and you will see better coralline algae growth, coral growth and invert growth. Directions for dry form: Start out by adding 1 teaspoon per 50 gallons of tank water. You should not exceed 30 ppm daily. It’s recommended to take your dosage and dilute in some R/O DI filtered water and add slowly into sump or if no sump, use half dose at a time and pour in front of a strong water flow. Take extreme care not to add this product too quickly, will cause some corals to shrink-up. Drip method is best. Directions are just a guide line. Wait 24 hours and retest. Adjust dosage up or down. Add daily to reach your desired calcium level, then as part of a daily or weekly regimen to maintain your calcium values. Ideal calcium values are 380 ppm to 450 ppm. If you are have difficulty maintaining your calcium values, check your magnesium, alkalinity and borate values and adjust to their proper values in order to maintain a well balanced saltwater aquarium system.   Contents: Calcium Chloride, Purity: (Min) 94% (Max) 97%

The secret of growing and maintaining all colors of coralline algae.

We ask that you do not think of your saltwater aquarium as a fish only saltwater tank, reef only saltwater tank or as a saltwater reef tank with fish. Think of your aquarium as a saltwater aquarium, period. In nature the marine animals all come from a well balanced system. This is how we maintain our saltwater aquarium water chemistry values with great success. Magnesium Values: 1250 - 1350 mg/L, Calcium Values: 380 - 450 ppm, Alkalinity Values: 3 - 5 meg/L or 8 - 11 dKH, pH Values: 8.1 - 8.4, Borate/Boron Values: 4.5 mg/L, Salinity Values:  1.026 SG or 35 PPT, Iodide Values: 0.03 – 0.06 ppm, Strontium Values: 10 and 15 mg/L. By keeping the above values stable and constant, using R/O DI filtered water, along with proper water changes, using a good protein skimmer, using carbon in a reactor, using  25 micron filtering bags and proper lighting for your corals. You will have a well balanced saltwater tank and you'll be able to grow and maintain good coralline growth and house any animal from the world’s reef systems and have them flourish. Try this method for 2 months and you will see a difference!  Pass It On!
