For those of you that are like me, I had a real bad problem with the dreaded CHLORAMINES in my tap water, that was prematurely exhausting my Deionization DI Resin. I personally have to use 4 canisters in a row to combat the Chloramines in my tap water. I have saved a lot of money on Deionization DI resin by increasing my carbon canisters one at a time until I seen my Deionization DI resin not being exhausting prematurely. It's Cheaper to by a good GAC Carbon then it is to buy the expensive Deionization DI resin. Reverse Osmosis R/O 1 or 2 stage carbon add on system has 1 or 2 (depending on which  unit) refillable GAC carbon 8x30 mesh carbon by Saltwater Correct. Saltwater Correct 8x30 mesh carbon is a very fine and light weight GAC carbon. The lighter the weight of the carbon, means that the GAC carbon has more pores, it's the pores that do the work of removing the undesirables out of the water. By using more carbon canisters in line, the theory is, the longer the contact time the water has to travel through the carbon, the more the carbon removes from the water.
