 Saltwater Correct

Reverse Osmosis R/O Sediment

1 or 5 Micron Pre-Filter

Our Price: $3.77 Each

For those of you that are like me, I had a real bad problem with the dreaded CHLORAMINES in my tap water, that was prematurely exhausting my Deionization DI Resin. I personally have to use 4 canisters in a row to combat the Chloramines in my tap water. I have saved a lot of money on Deionization DI resin by increasing my carbon canisters one at a time until I seen my Deionization DI resin not being exhausting prematurely. It's Cheaper to by a good GAC Carbon then it is to buy the expensive Deionization DI resin. Reverse Osmosis R/O 1 or 2 stage carbon add on system has 1 or 2 (depending on which  unit) refillable GAC carbon 8x30 mesh carbon by Saltwater Correct. Saltwater Correct 8x30 mesh carbon is a very fine and light weight GAC carbon. The lighter the weight of the carbon, means that the GAC carbon has more pores, it's the pores that do the work of removing the undesirables out of the water. By using more carbon canisters in line, the theory is, the longer the contact time the water has to travel through the carbon, the more the carbon removes from the water. Saltwater Correct by Get Tanked Aquariums has done the research, you get to use the benefits of our knowledge that we acquired over the past 20 plus years that we have been in the saltwater hobby.

We can custom make any type of  Reverse Osmosis R/O systems and Reverse Osmosis

R/O Deionization / DI systems or any number of  Pre and Post stages,

for your saltwater aquarium or for your whole house drinking water.

Many models and options. Buy Direct. You Save!

Saltwater Correct Deionization / DI single stage add on system,

will turn your 3 stage Reverse Osmosis R/O system into a 4 stage Reverse

Osmosis R/O  Deionization / DI system with-out the additional cost and expense

of up grading to a new 4 stage Reverse Osmosis R/O Deionization / DI system

GAC carbon companies have fancy names for their brand of GAC carbon that they offer to the aquarium trade and for Reverse Osmosis R/O trade to remove Chlorines and Chloramines from you tap water, like Chloramines Bl_ster (a) and Chloramines B_ster (u) so on and so forth. But they do not tell you what makes up a good GAC carbon for the aquarium or Reverse Osmosis water filters. Here a just some of the facts: The lighter GAC carbon is the more pores it has, the pores is what does all the work, the heaver the GAC carbon is the less pores it has, less pores equal more weight and less work. The larger the GAC particles are the bigger the voids are, voids are the spaces between the GAC carbon particles in a pile or container of GAC carbon. Remember water always takes the path of least resistance. The smaller the GAC carbon  particles are the smaller the smaller the voids are. Hence, more water is going to go through the carbon and not the voids. Small light weight GAC carbon is far more effective then large heavy weight GAC carbon !

THE BEST METHOD OF REMOVING CHLORINES AND CHLORAMINES:

The most economical way to get rid of the Chlorines and Chloramines from you tap water going into your Reverse Osmosis R/O DI water filter is to use more carbon canisters in line. The longer the water contact time with the carbon, the more the carbon can take out, break down or convert from the water.

Does it seem like your replacing your Deionization DI Color

Change Mixed Bed Resin more often then you use too?

Your local township water authority are more then likely increasing the amount of

Chlorines and Chloramines to combat the increasing levels of bacteria in the water.

Chlorines and Chloramines will prematurely exhaust your Deionization DI Color

Change Mixed Bed Resin.

The secret of growing and maintaining all colors of coralline algae.

We ask that you do not think of your saltwater aquarium as a fish only saltwater tank, reef only saltwater tank or as a saltwater reef tank with fish. Think of your aquarium as a saltwater aquarium, period. In nature the marine animals all come from a well balanced system. This is how we maintain our saltwater aquarium water chemistry values with great success. Magnesium Values: 1250 - 1350 mg/L, Calcium Values: 380 - 450 ppm, Alkalinity Values: 3 - 5 meg/L or 8 - 11 dKH, pH Values: 8.1 - 8.4, Borate/Boron Values: 4.5 mg/L, Salinity Values:  1.026 SG or 35 PPT, Iodide Values: 0.03 – 0.06 ppm, Strontium Values: 10 and 15 mg/L. By keeping the above values stable and constant, using R/O DI filtered water, along with proper water changes, using a good protein skimmer, using carbon in a reactor, using  25 micron filtering bags and proper lighting for your corals. You will have a well balanced saltwater tank and you'll be able to grow and maintain good coralline growth and house any animal from the world’s reef systems and have them flourish. Try this method for 2 months and you will see a difference!  Pass It On!
